Germany’s only themed beach invites you to its sandy beach for digging, daydreaming and a gorgeous view of the North Sea. Here it’s all about the heroes of the world’s oceans – the pirates. Noah’s Ark is waiting to be conquered, a 25-meter-long cable car and an 11-meter-high climbing net offer endless potential for exploring the courageous builders. Beach volleyball, football, the possibility to fly a kite and much more – there is something for everyone here, even for the little ones!
Since 2017 you can find the first baby beach in Germany at Friesenstrand in Tossens. A 250 sqm beach area has been specially designed for toddlers and ensures a carefree beach day with glass surrounds, sun sails, hot water showers and "everything around". Special offers for families with babies and toddlers can also be found in CenterParcs Park North Sea Coast.
At high tide, the North Sea invites you to swim and splash around. Around low tide holidaymakers start guided hikes or long walks on the seabed. And with our Wadtmobiles, a kind of tricycle on huge wheels, even those can discover the uniqueness of the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea who are not yet or no longer so good on foot.
And if you can't get enough of summer, sun, beach and the North Sea, you can even spend the night on the beach. In the Knaus Campingpark at Friesenstrand Tossens everyone will find the right pitch for their caravan or motorhome.
Your dog is very welcome in Tossens. Below the beach hall "Il Giardino" is the dog beach of Tossens. Please note: Dogs must be kept on a leash and are only allowed into the water in the dog area. In consideration of the unique habitat and the biodiversity of the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea, we ask for your understanding.
Look around you! That's how it looks with us.
